Barry holds fellowships from the American Academy at Rome, the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, the American Enterprise Institute, the German Academic Exchange Program, the Korea Foundation, the MacDowell Colony, and the National Endowment for the Humanities, among others. He is the recipient of Cornell’s Clark Award for Excellence in Teaching.
